BLE positioning with sensors usually occurs in fixed positions throughout an indoor space. When they receive the order from BLE smartphone, tracking tags, Bluetooth badges, they start to detect and locate where it is.
This location data goes to the central indoor positioning system (IPS) or real-time location system (RTLS), before the location engine analyzes the data and uses multi-lateration algorithms to determine the location.
With the help of location-aware Bluetooth technology, those coordinates visualize the location of a device on an indoor map of your space.
A smart Bluetooth gateway integrates Bluetooth technology and other network communication modules (Ethernet, Wi-fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, etc.).
The Bluetooth module in the Bluetooth gateway takes charge of scanning and connecting nearby BLE devices and obtaining data from scanned BLE devices.
Enquanto isso, high bandwidth network communication modules send the gathered data, in the form of TCP/UDP, to the cloud server.
If there is a control command, the server will forward the command over the Bluetooth gateway to the associated BLE terminal device. Desta maneira, the Bluetooth gateway performs its bi-directional communication and device control functions.
